Wednesday: What About Lucite Heels?

I was first introduced to lucite in Alexis Bittar‘s collections of jewelry. It’s a type of clear plastic, and Bittar paints one side with a cool color for an even cooler effect. And it’s proving to be a fun, modern medium that’s popping up in shoes, especially as we begin looking forward to spring and summer!

Now, the trick is to find some classy-looking lucite heels for just a pop of detail. Caution: Don’t go overboard! These have the potential to look a little skanky. But if you keep ’em professional and fun, you’re golden. Check out my favorites:
